LeEco recently announced a new affordable smartphone called the Cool1 Dual. It is a mid-range device that features a 13MP dual camera set up that starts from only 1,099 Yuan, that’s about RM665.
First up, like most smartphones today, be it a mid-range or a high-end device, the Cool1 Dual has a metal body for a more premium look. It features a 5.5” Full HD display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. There are three variants – 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
What makes the Cool1 Dual stand out is its dual-camera setup at the back. LeEco says that it uses a second-generation dual camera technology that is similar to the Huawei P9, which uses a monochrome and a colour sensor for a better image quality. In addition to that, the phone can enhance the overall image clarity by 20%, reduce noise by 8% and increase brightness by 20%, allowing users to capture great pictures even in low-light conditions.
Other specs include 8MP front-facing camera, 4060mAh battery, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM dual standby, fingerprint sensor at the back, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with the company’s EUI interface.
To be available in China, the Cool1 Dual is priced at 1,099 Yuan for the 3GB + 32GB variant, 1,499 Yuan (RM905) for 4GB + 32GB variant, and 1,699 Yuan (RM1,025) for the 4GB + 64GB option.
