Zotac has unveiled what could be the world’s first and smallest Pascal-powered mini computer. Zotac’s newest addition to its mini PC lineup is said to be powered with an Nvidia 10-series mobile GPU. Oddly, the specific name for this Magnus mini PC variant was not mentioned in the press release, but according to folks at TomsHardware.fr, it’ll be called the EN10.
Interestingly, Zotac’s Magnus EN10 mini PC will come with an unspecified Pascal GPU; which means that it could either be the GTX 1080, GTX 1070, or the GTX 1060. That said, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Zotac releasing three variants of the Magnus EN10 instead, to feature all three Pascal-based GPUs.
Aside from GPU, Zotac has also mentioned that the EN10 will be fitted with a sixth generation Intel Skylake processor. This, combined with a powerful GPU means that the Magnus EN10 could be a perfect and significantly more powerful replacement for gamers who wish to upgrade from their unworthy consoles, without worrying about the large footprint that most desktop PCs come with; not to mention the fact that this mini PC is also VR-capable.
Having said that, folks that’ve bought the Magnus EN980, which was released earlier this year, might feel a little hard-pressed after knowing that Zotac has decided to update its Magnus mini PC lineup with a significantly more powerful GPU after just a few months. Unfortunately, the price and release date for the Magnus EN10 was not mentioned.
