When the AMD Radeon RX 480 was first released into the market last month, consumers option is rather limited to reference thermal solution. For those who have been waiting for custom RX 480 cards to be available in Malaysia especially from XFX, the wait is almost over as these cards are on the way to our market.
Joining the reference design XFX Radeon RX 480 in Malaysia very soon will be the XFX Radeon RX 480 GTR cards. To be available in Black Edition and Triple X Edition models which are clocked at 1,338MHz and 1,288MHz respectively, both cards are equipped with twin Hard Swap removable fans alongside XFX’s elaborate Unibody Heatsink.
Featuring composite heatpipes, the heatsink on RX 480 GTR cards is not only designed to cool down the cards’ GPU but also their voltage regulator modules. In addition to that, XFX has also claimed that the memory cooling technology on these cards is able to reduce their 8GB GDDR5 256-bit memory which runs at 8,000MHz by 20 Celsius.
Completing these cards are LED logo on the top area of the cooler shroud and aluminum backplate. Scheduled to release in Malaysia later this month, the RX 480 GTR Black Edition and RX 480 GTR Triple X Edition are expected to be priced at RM 1,369 and RM 1,329 respectively.
Meanwhile, XFX will also be releasing the Radeon RX 470 RS Black Edition in Malaysia very soon. Clocked at 1,256 MHz, it also carries 4GB GDDR5 256-bit memory that runs at 7,000 MHz. Additionally, it is also equipped with plenty of features that are similar to the RX 480 GTR we mentioned above.
Such features include dual Hard Swap removable fans, Unibody Heatsink with composite heatpipes, enhanced memory cooling technology, LED logo, and aluminum backplate. Price-wise, the RX 470 RS Black Edition is expected to carry a price tag of RM 989.
Not to forget, two of XFX RX 460 cards will be released in Malaysia as well. One of them is the RX 460 Double Dissipation which is equipped with 4GB GDDR5 128-bit memory and dual thermal fans together with a price tag of RM 659. For those who prefer to have a slightly compact and more affordable option, they can opt for the RX 460 Single Fan model which goes for RM 539.
That being said, this particular model only carries 2GB memory – half of what the RX 460 Double Dissipation model offers. In terms of release date, expect to see these new XFX RX 460 cards to be available at retailers in Malaysia together with XFX RX 470 RS and RX 480 GTR cards before the end of August.
