MSI, notorious for creating gaming laptops of respectable quality and specification, have teased gaming notebook fans of its upcoming series of “VR Ready” gaming laptops. The teaser came alongside the company’s achievement of being the largest gaming notebook player in the world.
The Taiwanese giant has decided to tease a whopping 11 gaming laptops that it claims to be “VR-capable”, which is virtually its entire lineup of current gaming machines. The new GT lineup will comprise of the GT83VR, GT73VR, GT72VR, GT62VR, GT72VR, and GT62VR. Meanwhile, the company’s upcoming GS and GE series of gaming laptops will consist of the GS73VR, GS63VR, GE72VR, and GE62VR. Lastly, MSI’s affordable GP gaming notebook range (but still VR optimised) will only have one addition: the GP62MVR.
MSI mentioned that its upcoming gaming laptops will be equipped with the latest cooling technologies and a beefy processor as well, of which the company claims a few will be equipped with Intel’s Core i7-6820HK CPU.
For a company to refresh virtually its entire range of gaming laptops, it could only mean one thing: that there is a new series of GPUs worth upgrading to. With rumours abound regarding Nvidia’s Pascal-based mobile GPUs, could this be the reason?
Regardless, since this is only a tease, there aren’t many information that was given. However, do expect MSI to announce detailed information regarding each VR Ready gaming laptops very soon.
