Like it or not, children will be exposed to technology at young age, so how do you safeguard them from the dangers of the internet? Let them use kids-friendly apps of course. Disney recently launched a new family-friendly messaging app called Disney Mix that lets you “chat, share, and play with safety in mind”.
Disney Mix is designed for kids from as young as four years old, but Disney says that children under the age of 13 are required to get permission from their parents. It is like a regular chat app, allowing users to send messages to their family and friends, but there are some additional features to make it safer and more fun.
When signing up, Disney Mix will give a safety reminder to its users, telling them to stay safe by not sharing information with strangers, be kind to other users as “bullying and harassment will not be tolerated”, and no vulgarities are allowed. In addition to that, there is a “whistle” icon on board so if the user thinks that something is not right, they can tap on the whistle to report the message. Of course, parents are encouraged to talk to their kids about Disney Mix to help the better understand the rules.
Since it is an app by Disney, there are also exclusive content from Disney and Pixar including games, stickers, memes, and such. Users will also be able to the first to get the latest an greatest news from Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Movies, and more.
Disney Mix is available on both Android and iOS, and is available for download right now. Check out Disney Mix for more information.
