The wildly popular augmented reality game, Pokemon Go, is now finally, finally available for users in Malaysia. It is available for immediate download on both the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store.
The global phenomenon that has seen smartphone users flock in droves to seemingly nondescript real-world locations in search of virtual monsters to catch is now available for Malaysians to play. This was of course not unexpected, after it was revealed that developer Niantic has begun opening dedicated Asian servers, including for Malaysia very recently.
Earlier last month the game appeared to be in live beta testing, allowing users who sideloaded the app to find Pokestops and (obviously) catch some Pokemon.
Nevertheless, it looks like a good way to spend the rest of your weekend. Gotta catch ’em all, right?
