It has been quite some time since a flagship device from honor was launched in Malaysia; the last high-end device from the company – the honor 7 – was unveiled close to one year ago. Now, it appears honor Malaysia is gearing up to launch its latest flagship device on our shores very, very soon.
On honor Malaysia’s Facebook page, the company has started teasing one of its latest devices, the honor 8. While the company remained ambiguous on the matter, it did mention that the device is “coming very soon.” However, oddly enough, the post has since been taken down from the social media site.
It’s entirely possible that the honor 8 will be launched in Malaysia in the near future, but the fact that the Facebook post has now been taken down does raise a few concerns. Hopefully, this doesn’t mean the device won’t be arriving in Malaysia at all – much like the honor V8.
In terms of specification, the honor 8 is a well-equipped smartphone. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display, a HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM, two choices of expandable storage (32GB and 64GB), as well as a 3,000mAh battery. In the camera department, the honor 8 has a two 12MP rear cameras – much like the Huawei P9 – and an 8MP front-facing shooter.
At the time of this writing, we have no information on the availability or retail price of the honor 8 in Malaysia. Nonetheless, we will keep a close eye on the matter.
