It was only two days ago that Xiaomi has unveiled two new products in the form of Redmi Pro smartphone and its first laptop. If you thought that they should take some rest after the big launch, that is not going to happpen because there will be another new product set to be unveiled by Xiaomi on 1 August 2016.
The said product will be a VR headset which could be the one that the company has talked about back in June. According to the original announcement, the VR headset is designed for Xiaomi smartphone although it is limited to models that are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and above which kind of sidelining the newly launched Redmi Pro if that is true.
Also based on the announcement in June, Xiaomi is expected to launch a VR version of its MIUI interface called MIVR. The interface will apparently come in the form of an app that will automatically enter VR mode once users insert their phone into the upcoming Xiaomi VR headset.
Well then, we shall keep a close look at Xiaomi VR announcement on 1 August to see if the company will indeed unveil a mobile VR headset as its first ever VR product or unveil a bigger surprise to everyone. So, stay tuned.
