AMD is surely taken its own sweet time to reveal more information regarding its Radeon RX 460 and RX 470 graphics cards but nevertheless, the wait is almost over. Even though these information has been partially revealed and leaked beforehand, the company today has officially confirmed that the two new mid-range cards will be meeting consumers this August.
The release will be led by RX 470 which is expected to be out on 4 August before being followed up by RX 460 on 8 August. At the same time, AMD has also revealed the specifications for both cards in their entirely as shown below:
In addition to that, AMD has also claimed that these card are designed to allow gamers experience their games at full HD resolution. Due to the differences in the amount of firepower that are available within both cards, the RX 470 is more capable of achieving that task even with anti-aliasing turned on while the RX 460’s full HD experience is meant for eSports-oriented titles which usually don’t have intensive graphical requirements.

Meanwhile, the only major information that AMD still has yet to reveal regarding these two cards is their pricing. We do have some idea on how it is going to be priced in Malaysia though given how several local retailers have started to take pre-order for the Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 460 and RX 470 for RM 1,139 and RM 689 respectively.
With that, we expect the reference version will be made available at a much lower price point.
