As promised, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia (SIEJA) has officially revealed the details behind PlayStation VR roll out in Asia in a special press conference. For Malaysia, SIEJA will be releasing the new PS VR in our market on 13 October which which is similar to the US market.
As for its price, the standalone version of PS VR will go for RM 1,849 which is slightly more than the price in US, Japan, and several other countries in Asia. However, it is still cheaper than the Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia which was listed at more than RM 1,900.
At the same time, SIEJA has also revealed that the PS VR with PS Camera bundle will be making its way to Malaysia as well. Price-wise, this particular bundle will be made available for RM 2,029 which equals to a saving of RM 69 since the current standalone price of a PS Camera in Malaysia is RM 249.
Unlike in certain market, the PS VR with PS Camera and PS Move controller bundle will not be released in Malaysia though which mean gamers need to source their own Move motion controller for titles that require it.
