It looks like Celcom has finally added the Huawei P9 to its phone bundle, offering the device from as low as RM0 with its postpaid plans. But that’s not all, the telco is also offering the more premium Huawei P9 Plus from RM399.
The Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus retails at RM2,099 and RM2,599 respectively. If you sign up for a 24 months contract under one of Celcom’s latest postpaid plans – Celcom First Gold or First Platinum, you will be able to purchase the devices at a subsidised price.
The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus were announced back in May at the Chinese company’s Southern Pacific Conference held in Bali, Indonesia. Both devices are similar in terms of specifications but what sets them apart is that the latter has a bigger, pressure-sensitive 5.5” Full HD AMOLED display, while the Huawei P9 has a smaller 5.2” 1080p IPS display. The Huawei P9 Plus also has a slightly larger 3,400mAh battery compared to the 3,000mAh battery on the P9.
Other than that, everything is the same – they are both powered by the Huawei Kirin 955 processor with 64GB of internal storage and up to 4GB of RAM. They also support microSD cards up to 128GB. Camera wise, both the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus offers Leica-certified 12MP rear cameras, and an 8MP selfie camera.
