Garmin earlier this month have officially launched yet another new product in Malaysia in the form of the Approach S20 GPS Watch. Equipped with preloaded data from 40,000 courses throughout the world, it is designed to help golfers improve their game.
According to Garmin, the Approach S20 is equipped with high-sensitivity GPS receiver that are able to provide golfers their location on the course accurately as well the distance between them and related course targets such as sand traps, water hazards and more. Via a feature called AutoShot, the watch is also able to automatically track and measure their shots.
Subsequently, the watch is also able to act as a digital scorecard for its users. Since Approach S20 is designed to withstand water with depth up to 50 meters, it shouldn’t have any problem to withstand the usual natural elements that golfers might face while being on the course such as rains or their own sweat.
At the same time, the Approach S20 is also designed to track other activities outside of the golf course including steps and sleep. Meanwhile, the watch can also be paired with Garmin TruSwing Club Sensor which has also just officially landed in Malaysia.
Designed to be positioned just under the grip of any club types, the TruSwing sensor apparently able to provide even more accurate real-time insights for golfers such as swing tempo, swing speed, club path, shaft angle, and more which are then wirelessly transferred to their Approach S20 watch or to Garmin Connect app on their phone for viewing and analysis.
Of course, stats from Approach S20 watch can be uploaded to the same Garmin Connect platform as well. Price-wise, both the golf GPS watch and sensor are now readily available in Malaysia for RM 999 and RM 699 respectively.
