PowerColor has unveiled its latest graphics card called the Red Devil RX 480. Despite being based on the Radeon RX 480, PowerColour’s new graphics card comes with plenty of features that makes it slightly better in terms of performance and power efficiency compared to the reference model.
The PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 graphics card has three 8cm open-air cooling fans called the DoubleBlade III. According to the company, the DoubleBlade III fans are fitted with two ball bearings, which it claims will increase the longevity of the graphics card. Interestingly, PowerColor’s graphics card is said to boast 20% better cooling efficiency compared to the reference card.
When it comes to factory clock speeds, the PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 ships with a boost clock speed of up to 1330MHz, which is significantly faster compared to the stock Radeon RX 480 (1266MHz). Speaking of which, the Red Devil RX 480 is also equipped with an 8-pin power connector along with a 6+1 power phase, which has power rating of 25W per phase – all of which will improve the overclocking capability of the RX 480 graphics card.
Like other custom RX 480 graphics cards in the market, the Red Devil RX 480 is fitted with one DVI-D and HDMI ports; along with three DisplayPort ports. That aside, the PowerColor Red Devil RX 480 is priced at US$269 (about RM1,097) and it will be made available on the 29th of July – probably a tad bit longer for Malaysia.
