Apple is expected to launch the next generation iPhone soon but just how soon? According to well-known serial leaker, Evan Blass of @evleaks, the Cupertino company is set to release the iPhone 7 on the “week of September 12th”. Since Apple usually launch its products on Fridays, that would mean the launch will be happening on 16 September 2016.
He notes that it’s the release date of the iPhone 7, not the announcement date. This means that the launch event should be happening about a week or two earlier.

Evan Blass has been pretty spot-on with his previous leaks, but not perfect when it comes to Apple news. He previously speculated that Apple will launch the iPhone 6c along with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. However as we all know, that never happened and instead, Apple launched the iPhone SE several months later.
Apple is rumoured to launch the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and even an iPhone 7 Pro in its coming fall event. These devices will look similar to the current iPhone 6s devices with minor redesign. Rumours says that Apple will only launch a new iPhone with major redesign in 2017, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.
So far, we’ve seen pictures and videos of the iPhone 7, which indicates minor changes to the antenna line, a slightly larger rear camera, and the missing 3.5mm audio jack. The iPhone 7 Plus will also look similar however, it will come with a dual-camera system.
Of course, all these are just rumours so take it with a pinch of salt. Apple is expected to release invites for this upcoming event later in August.
