It’s finally Friday and for those if you who wish to kick back, relax and enjoy your favourite comic, Google has a new feature for you on its Play Books app. The company recently introduced the Bubble Zoom feature that makes it much easier for you to read digital comics be it on your phone or tablet.
Announced at the on-going San Diego Comic-Con 2016, Bubble Zoom will identify speech bubbles in comics and expand them when you tap on the screen – no more zooming around using two fingers and panning the page while getting lost.
Bubble Zoom is rolling out today and will be available on the latest version of Google Play Books app for Android as a technical preview with all Marvel and DC collected volumes supported. Google’s goal is to eventually bring Bubble Zoom to all the comics and manga ever made.
On top of the new feature, in conjunction with the convention, Google is also offering a 50% discount on selected comics from DC Comics and Marvel comics in the Google play Store. Use use the code “SDCC2016” by 24 July 2016.
