Last month, we reported that Xiaomi will be introducing a new “flagship product” sometime this month, but we were sceptical of the claim at the time. Now, however, this appears to be true, and there will be two products unveiled on 27 July next week. The best part is, one of the two products could very well be Xiaomi’s first-ever laptop.
This confirmation came from a Xiaomi representative, who has confirmed on his Weibo account that two new products will be announced at the upcoming launch event. He elaborated that one of the two products has three letters (in Chinese, of course), while the other one has five letters. Based on these two hints, GizmoChina believes that the two products may be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi Notebook.
Just last week, two alleged images of the Redmi Note 4 were leaked. These images depict a device clad in metal and – surprisingly enough – a dual-camera setup. Other than that, rumoured specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook have also been reported, which include an Intel Core i7-6500U processor paired with 8GB of RAM, two choices of display size (11-inch and 12.5-inch), as well as Windows 10 out of the box.
While these details are certainly exciting, they are nothing more than leaks and rumours, which may prove to be inaccurate. Regardless, all will be revealed on the 27th of July next week.
