In June 1991, Sonic The Hedgehog made its first appearance on a self-titled game for Sega Genesis before making it ways become one of the most well-known video game character around. 25 years after that, the lovable, speedy blue-colored hedgehog is still around and to celebrate the occasion, the famed Japanese guitar manufacturer ESP Guitars has unveiled a number of Sonic-themed guitars.
Based on the guitars that the ESP has crafted for its endorser Jun Senoue who is also the composer and sound director of several Sonic titles, one of them is called ESP Sonic-II that which features the character as depicted of the cover art from Sonic Adventure. At the same time, there is also the ESP Shadow-II that is covered with Shadow The Hedgehog character – which will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year – instead.
Each of these guitars will be accompanied by a certificate, a set of Sonic & Shadow guitar pics, music score, special polishing cloth, and custom hard case. Meanwhile, ESP has also introduced lower end version for each of these guitars which still features the same theme as per their high end twins but lower cost parts and without the custom hard case.
