Over the years, Valve slowly brought over the characters from Defence of the Ancients (DotA Allstars) to Dota 2. From Techies and Oracle, to Winter Wyvern and Arc Warden. Now, Vrogros The Underlord – a.k.a. Pitlord a.k.a. Abyssal Underlord – is finally coming to Dota 2.
Popular Dota 2 community figure, Cyborgmatt first posted the Underlord teaser image on his Twitter account, which led to fans going fnatic about the new hero coming to Dota 2. When asked how he got hold of the image, he mentioned that users who complete all the quests in this year’s Battle Pass will get a small button on the quest page to reveal the teaser.
Apart from the teaser image, there are no official renders yet on how the hero’s final appearance will look like. Having said that, according to this Gamepedia page, you can see some of The Underlord’s abilities, as well as concept art for the game. If the abilities are to be believed, we’re glad that The Underlord is keeping his ultimate ability.
Vrogros The Underlord is the last hero that hasn’t been transitioned into Dota 2; which would make him the 112th hero of the game. Much like how previous heroes were introduced during a special occassion, there is a good chance that The Underlord could be making an appearance at this year’s The Internationals 2016.
