UPDATE (14 July, 1018PM): The movie has been pulled out from GSC’s listings. Check out this article for further info.
This piece of information has somehow slipped our radar but as it turns out, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV will be shown at cinemas in Malaysia very soon. This was confirmed by GSC Cinemas GSC Movies (the film distribution arm of Golden Screen Cinemas) two weeks ago via its official Facebook page.
However, it seemed that the actual screening date was not mentioned at that time. We have since learned that cinema goers, gamers, and Final Fantasy fans will be able to check out the computer animated movie at GSC starting from 4 August as listed by GSC Movies official website.
This means that the movie will be shown earlier in Malaysia than US since Kingsglaive will only be there starting from 19 August although it already been premiered in Japan (no surprise there) three days ago. Meanwhile, we have reached out to GSC Movies in order to obtain further information regarding the movie’s arrival in Malaysia.
For those who prefer to watch the movie from the comfort of their home, they can choose to purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Collector’s Edition versions of Final Fantasy XV for PlayStation 4 which will include the movie as part of their packages. That being said, they have to wait slightly longer to watch it though as the game will only be released on 30 September 2016.
(Thanks for the heads-up, @Syazx83. Same goes to Randy, for the explaining the differences between GSC and GSC Movies).
