Apple is expected to launch its next iPhone in September this year and the nearer we get to that date, the more rumours and leaks appear. The latest one is a photo shared by Nowhereelse.fr showing the back of the iPhone 7, featuring redesigned antenna lines and a larger camera that still protrudes out of the device.
The picture is a high-resolution image that shows the back casing of a 4.7” iPhone 7. The overall design looks similar to the design Apple has been using for the past two iPhones, but the antenna lines going across the back have been removed, giving a much cleaner look; the lines running along the top and bottom edges are still visible though.
Previous leak showing the iPhone 7 Plus with dual-camera setup
The camera also looks larger than before, about 25% wider in diameter compared to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. This should mean a better camera quality however, it looks like Apple is keeping the protruded design. If you were hoping for a dual camera setup, don’t be disappointed. It should be coming to the larger 5.5” iPhone 7, which is not shown in the leak.
Nowhereelse.fr also confirms that the casing is missing a 3.5mm audio jack, a rumour that has been brewing in the mill for the longest time now. Replacing the audio jack’s position is a new second speaker at the bottom of the phone, hopefully this means a louder and better sound quality for the iPhone 7.
Are you looking forward to the next iPhone?
