HTC’s 2016 flagship is finally coming to Malaysia. The HTC 10 is now available for pre-order at a price of RM2,799.
Officially launched in April, the 10 is the latest flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese company that’s been struggling to keep up with its contemporaries. That said, the HTC 10 is a far cry from last year’s HTC One M9+; HTC finally decided to pick up the pace in terms of hardware.
Powering the 10 is none other than Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset, while the rest of the specs list is just as impressive: there’s a 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 Super LCD display, 4GB of RAM, a brand new 12MP “UltraPixel 2” f/1.8 rear camera with OIS and laser autofocus, a 5MP front camera, a 3,000mAh battery with fast charge, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, and a built-in DAC and headset amp that supports 24-bit Hi-Res audio. For the Malaysian market, the HTC 10 will come with 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

The HTC 10 is now available for pre-orders at two locations, and will be available nationwide from 14 July. You can order directly from the official distributor, Dynamics Distribution Sdn Bhd via its 11street store, or from DirectD. Both options offer a free HTC Ice View Flip Case with every order (though DirectD limits this offer to the first 100 only).
At RM2,799, HTC is again pricing its flagship smartphone at a premium tier, but at a time when market prices of its fiercest rivals are noticeably lower than what HTC has priced the 10. That being said, HTC has done worse: remember the RM2,599 HTC One M9+?
