After the promotion for Celcom’s FIRST Postpaid plans ended, the company made some changes to these plans. Some features were taken away, while some new ones have been added. Do take note that these changes only apply to new applicants; existing users will retain their package benefits, naturally.
FIRST Blue
For RM45/month, Celcom’s most affordable FIRST Blue postpaid plan retains the 2GB weekday and 2GB weekend data, but the carry forward data quota has been reduced from 2GB to 1GB.
Should you require more data, you can purchase MAX UP quota of 1GB for RM20 and it comes with free unlimited Yonder music streaming. You can also carry forward your MAX UP data for RM10, which is a new feature available after the 15th of July.
FIRST Gold
Celcom’s most popular postpaid plan – FIRST Gold – keeps the RM80 monthly commitment fee along with the 10GB data (5GB weekday + 5GB weekend) quota. However, it suffers the same fate as the FIRST Blue plan where the carry forward Internet feature is halved from 5GB to 2.5GB.
Not only that, SMS is no longer unlimited and you will have to pay RM0.20 for every SMS you send. To make up for it, the company is giving unlimited WhatsApp and WeChat messaging.
FIRST Platinum
Much like FIRST Blue and FIRST Gold, the FIRST Platinum plan maintains its RM150/month fee and total of 18GB data. However, Internet carry forward is now capped at 4.5GB instead of 9GB. Besides that, Celcom is also giving unlimited social media messaging.
FIRST 1+5 Supplementary Plan
Celcom has also made some much needed changes to its FIRST 1+5 supplementary lines. Each supplementary line costs RM30/month, and users will now get 2GB (1GB weekday + 1GB weekend) of data instead of the initial 500MB. You can also carry forward 500MB of unused data to the next month.
In addition, each supplementary line will receive 50 minutes of calls and 50 SMS to all networks. Each supplementary line will also provide the principal line 2,000 minutes of calls and 2,000 SMS.
If the principal user is on the FIRST Gold or FIRST Platinum plan, each supplementary line will also get to enjoy unlimited WhatsApp and WeChat messaging.
