Earlier today, an interesting login page has temporarily appeared on the main page of Webe’s official website which may have provided a look into how the new mobile telco by TM will be rolled out to users. We believe it is not a mere coincidence though as we were previously informed by Webe that the company will begin its commercial service around this time of the year.
As you able to see from the screenshot above, the login requires users to key in their TM or P1 registration details. Despite not having the actual invite, we tried to submit our details anyway and true enough, we received an Access Denied error from the site which might be a sign that Webe’s team is still working on getting the system online.
The login link for existing Webe trial users didn’t work either, somehow. Nevertheless, the site also contains a brief FAQ which explained why this login page existed in the first place. As it turns out, it seems that selected UniFi, Streamyx, and P1 WiMAX customers will be able to utilize Webe before it is made available to everyone else. Furthermore, the invite for these customers will be sent out starting from 30 June 2016 onwards.
At the same time, it also seems that Webe might be teasing one of its rumored main offering – unlimited data plan – right on this login page itself. In case you missed it, here is another look at the page:
If what have been mentioned in the login page’s FAQ are true, we shall find out the answer very soon. So, stay tuned then.
