TP-Link entered the Malaysian smartphone market back in late March this year with the Neffos C5 and C5L. Now, the company has officially introduced a third device to the series, the Neffos C5 Max.
Teased back at TP-Link’s local launch of the Neffos C5 and C5L, the aptly named C5 Max is the largest device in the series with a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It also has a MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot (it supports cards up to 32GB), and Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Rounding out the hardware of the Neffos C5 Max are a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing shooter, and a 3,045mAh battery. Looking at these specifications, the C5 Max is a modestly equipped Android smartphone, and its price tag definitely reflects that.
Retailing at RM699, the Neffos C5 Max is available for purchase later today on 11street – at the time of this writing, the device is still listed at RM9,999. To entice potential buyers, the first 50 customers to purchase the device will receive a complimentary Groovi Ripple Bluetooth speaker worth RM159. This promotion – while there are still stocks, of course – is valid until the 10th of July.
