Now that we know the honor V8 isn’t coming to Malaysia, the next device to look forward to is definitely the proper successor to the honor 7. Well, based on a recent teaser honor has released, the honor 8 may be launched in the very near future.
Looking at the poster, it’s almost a sure thing honor is teasing its next flagship device, the honor 8. Interestingly, if we examine the teaser closer, there’s a very distinct infinity logo next to the number eight. Not surprisingly, the very same logo is featured on many marketing materials of the honor V8, suggesting that the honor 8 may be packing a dual-camera setup as well.
Aside from that, other rumoured specifications of the honor 8 include a 5.2-inch 1080p – or even 1440p, like the honor V8 – display, a HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, three choices of internal storage (32GB, 64GB, 128GB), a 3,200mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, as well as a USB Type-C port. Not surprisingly, most of the honor 8’s rumoured specifications are similar to the honor V8, other than the smaller display and slightly more powerful processor – the latter has a bigger 5.7-inch display and a slightly lower clocked Kirin 950 chipset.
Although the teaser did not mention any particular release date, the honor 8 is rumoured to be unveiled next week on the 5th of July 2016. To make things even more interesting, the honor 8 is said to retail from only 1,999 Chinese yuan (about RM1,230) as well. With that kind of starting price, the honor 8 may just be a very compelling flagship smartphone.
