OPPO Malaysia today has announced a new addition to its family of smartphones in the form of OPPO A37. The company has described the new device as an entry-level smartphone but based on the specifications, A37 seems to be apt enough to hold its own ground.
Built with a 5-inch IPS HD (1280 x 720) display, the A37 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM. Comes standard with 16 GB of storage, users are able to add more storage to the phone through micro SD card of up to 128GB and this can be done without sacrificing any of its dual nano SIM slot since A37’s card tray is able to support all three cards simultaneously.
With a thickness of 7.68mm, the 136 grams’ phone also comes standard with ColorOS 3.0 on top of its Android 5.1 operating system which is apparently much faster than previous version of ColorOS. Other than that, the A37 is also equipped with a rear camera that features 1/3.2-inch 8-megapixels sensor, f/2.2 lens, and LED flash.
On the front of phone, there’s also another camera with 1/4-inch 5-megapixel sensor and f/2.4 lens which is assisted by screen-based flash. Not to forget, the A37 also carries a 2,630 mAh battery which is not removable due to the phone’s unibody design.
Available immediately throughout Malaysia in Gold and Rose Gold, the new Oppo A37 is priced at RM 798.
