According to several tech sites, Xiaomi will be unveiling a new “flagship product” as early as next month. Seeing how the Xiaomi Mi 5 has already been unveiled back at MWC 2016, could the rapidly growing Chinese company unveil a successor to the Xiaomi Mi Note?
The Xiaomi Mi Note – and its more powerful variant, the Mi Note Pro – was introduced back in January 2015. Needless to say, the Mi Note lineup is due for an upgrade. Then again, the Mi 4 was unveiled back in July 2014, and it took Xiaomi – along with several different variants of the device – almost two years to unveil the Mi 5.
Aside from the rumour that Xiaomi will finally introduce a successor to the Mi Note, some are also saying that it could be the launch of the company’s long-rumoured laptop. This makes a lot of sense as well: it was already confirmed that Xiaomi will enter the laptop market this year. If the Chinese company does showcase its first-ever laptop next month, it will be a very interesting to see what it brings to the table.
However, it still remains to be seen if Xiaomi will truly unveil a new product next month. After all, only GizmoChina and GizChina have reported on this alleged July launch. Regardless, we will find out soon enough in the coming weeks.
