Initially announced at Samsung’s SEA Forum several months back, the mySamsung app is now available in Malaysia. Essentially, owners of certain Samsung devices can get various benefits with the app, among other things.
One of the key highlights of the mySamsung app is a form of “personalised privileges.” According to Samsung, users of the app can receive exclusive promotions from the company; they can even get invitations to Samsung’s events. After all, Samsung touts this app as an exclusive ownership programme.
Other than that, the mySamsung app can also help manage users’ devices, which may prove to be helpful to those who are not very tech-savvy. The app can offer tips and suggestions to help users extend the battery life of their devices, or even ways to save some storage. Interestingly, it is also possible to reach out to Samsung’s customer service through the mySamsung app.
To make things easier for consumers, certain Samsung devices are pre-loaded with the mySamsung app as well, including the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, the standard S7, this year’s iterations of the Galaxy A5 and A7, as well as the recently launched Galaxy J5 and J7 (2016). Older Samsung devices such as the Galaxy S6 duo, the Note 5, and even the Note 3 also supports the app.
If you happen to own any one of the supported Samsung devices, the mySamsung app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store here. More information on the app can also be found here.
