At the honor 5C’s media session today, honor Malaysia has revealed more details on the device’s availability in Malaysia. Naturally, the 5C’s retail prices were also revealed, which start from RM799; this confirmed an earlier leak. At that price point, those who are looking for an affordable mid-range smartphone have another option now.
In terms of specification, the honor 5C is adequately equipped. It is packed with a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display, a HiSilicon Kirin 650 processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 13MP rear and 8MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 3,000mAh battery.
Other noteworthy specifications of the honor 5C include a rear fingerprint sensor, a metal back, as well as Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Judging by the hardware of the honor 5C, it certainly is a vast improvement over its predecessor. In some aspects, it is arguably better than the honor 5X as well.
Pre-orders of the honor 5C will be open on 20 June, and it will be available for purchase on Lazada and Vmall.my. The silver and grey models of the honor 5C will retail at RM799, while the gold variant is set to go for RM849 – aside from the colour difference, the more costly gold model has the same specifications as the other two colour options.
