Telltale has released more details about its new Batman game due this summer. The game look like it will be using the developer’s own trademark animation style, which makes the game look like a comicbook.
Interestingly, Batman will be voiced by long time voice talent Troy Baker. Baker is no stranger to the DC universe having voiced Batman in the Lego video games; along with a huge number of other characters across both games and animations. Joining him are
Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. Richard McGonagleas gangster Carmine Falcone, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, and Murphy Guyer as Lt. Jim Gordon.
The first season of Telltale’s Batman will consist of five episodes, with the game being sold both piecemeal and as a season pass. Fans of Batman games should be prepared for an experience substantially different from the beat-em-up style found in the recent Arkham series.
Telltale is mainly known for creating story based adventures where action is secondary to good dialogue and plot. This is not the first comicbook to receive the Telltale treatment as the developer made its name with the Wolf Among Us, a loose translation of the Fables series from DC’s Vertigo imprint.
