Quick Look At Palit GeForce GTX 1080 GameRock And JetStream Cards, Alongside Gainward Phoenix

While Palit might not have a booth at Computex’s show floor this year, we still managed to have a brief look at its latest line up of graphics card based on the newly released NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 during a visit to the company’s headquarters in Taipei. Said to be released by end of June 2016, leading the line-up is the GameRock series which features factory overclocked boost speed of up to 1,885 MHz.

In addition to that, the GameRock Premium Edition also features memory clock speed that has been pushed to 10.5 Gbps. At the same time, all GeForce GTX 1080 GameRock cards are equipped with two 100mm fans, newly improved thermal solution, 8 + 2 power phases, and two BIOS settings.

Alongside GameRock cards, Palit has also planned to released two more GTX 1080 cards under its JetStream series. With a maximum GPU boost speed of 1847 MHz, JetStream cards also features two 100mm fans and improved thermal design but unlike their GameRock siblings, these cards are not equipped with dual BIOS setup.

Meanwhile, all GameRock and JetStream cards come standard customizable RGB LED lighting that can be set to correspond to their operating temperature. Here is a quick comparison of the clock speed from all of the GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards that Palit has to offer for consumers:

Interestingly, we have also spotted Gainward Phoenix GTX 1080 card during our time at Palit’s headquarters. In case you wondering why the card made an appearance there, Gainward was actually acquired by Palit in 2005 although Gainward products are not officially released into Malaysia these days.

Equipped with new cooler design that features dual 100mm fans, Gainward Phoenix GTX 1080 cards also contains dual BIOS setup, 8 + 2 power phases, and LED lighting that acts as temperature indicator. While there was only one Gainward Phoenix was on display during our visit to Palit’s office, the card actually comes in three different variants with all of them have been scheduled for release by end of June:

In case you didn’t notice from all the images above, Palit will also be releasing GeForce GTX 1070 version of GameRock, Jetsteam and Gainward Phoenix card very soon. However, the company not able to provide any specifications, release date, or pricing for these cards for the time being although we don’t think that consumers need to wait long to see it in the market given how GeForce GTX 1070 will be on sale starting from 10 June.
