ViewSonic might not be the name you would immediately associate with gaming monitors these days but truth to be told, the company does have a few of them under its wing. One such product is the brand new XG3202-C curved monitor which we stumbled upon at ViewSonic Asia Pacific‘s headquarters in Taipei last week.
Built with a 1800R curvature display, the 31.5-inch panel on the monitor has a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and supports AMD FreeSync technology. For those who are not familiar with the technology, it is basically a variation of adaptive fresh rate technology that is supported by AMD Radeon GPUs and APUs although it is based on VESA Adaptive Sync standard for DisplayPort 1.2a.
Other than that, the monitor comes with a native resolution of 1920×1080 (full HD) alongside several I/O ports including VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and a USB 2.0 port made only for charging. Despite being scheduled for release in July, these are pretty much the only information we managed to gather from ViewSonic regarding the curved display during our visit to the headquarters.
For those who prefer a standard shaped monitor, ViewSonic has already released several of them into the market since earlier this year such as the 24-inch VX2457-MHD, and 27-inch VX2757-MHD which can actually be found in Malaysia. The high-end 27-inch XG2700-4K UHD monitor and XG2703-GS 165Hz G-Sync monitor have also been released into selected markets throughout the world.
