As you might have heard, MSI came to this year’s Computex with plenty of gaming products on hand including a backpack PC for virtual reality and tons of gaming laptops. There are also plenty of gaming-oriented motherboards on display at the company’s booth but the MSI Z2T0 Anniversary motherboard attracted our attention though due to the mysterious aura that it emits.
Shown on the image above, MSI didn’t provide any information regarding the motherboard with the exception of just one particular detail: it will be launched in November 2016. When we scout around for additional information, none of the several MSI staff that we approached at the booth are able to provide official information regarding the motherboard.
That being said though, we believe that the MSI Z2T0 Anniversary is likely to be a motherboard designed for the upcoming 7th generation Intel Core processor which is also known via its codename, Kaby Lake. This is due to the fact that the release date of the motherboard seems to be in line with Kaby Lake which will take place towards end of the year.
Even its name – Z2T0 – seems to be a play on Z270 which could well be the name of the chipset that will become the successor to the chipset for 6th generation Intel Core processors, the Z170. Speculations aside, we don’t have much choice at the moment apart from having to wait until November 2016 to learn more about the mysterious Z2T0 Anniversary motherboard from MSI.
