Asus has showcased its newest X99 motherboard called the ROG Rampage V Edition 10. Like all other recently announced motherboards, Asus’ Rampage V Edition 10 is manufactured to be used for Intel’s upcoming Broadwell-E processors (and other CPUs with an LGA 2011-v3 socket). According to Asus, this motherboard is aimed at hardcore PC gamers as well as enthusiasts.
Features that are exclusive to the ROG Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard include the Extreme Engine Digi+ VRM and the T-topology technology – both of which will result in an efficient and powerful performance output. In addition the motherboard is also equipped with an Asus SupremeFX Hi-Fi audio sound card, dual Intel Gigabit Ethernet cards, and a host of other technologies as well.
I/O ports of the ROG Rampage V Edition 10 include four USB 3.1 ports; two USB 2.0, USB 3.1 and USB 3.1 Type-C ports; one legendary PS/2 port; as well as two Ethernet ports. There is also a built-in Bluetooth and WiFi receiver. Besides that, the motherboard also comes with eight RAM slots that supports up to 128GB of memory. There also four PCI-e x16 slots.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a 2016 motherboard without RGB lighting. However, instead of just slapping in normal LED strips around certain components of the ROG Rampage V Edition 10, Asus has taken it one step further by teaming up with RGB experts like CableMod, IN WIN, BitFenix and many more to further enhance the bedazzlement of the motherboard.
Unfortunately, no information about the date of availability was given by Asus, but according to this source, the ROG Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard will likely be retailing at a price of US$599 (about RM2,460).
