HTC is determined to make its Vive virtual reality headset a success, and has even begun developing video games for it. The company is set to preview Front Defence, its first internally developed VR title at Computex next week. it will also be working on other games as well.
Front Defence is supposedly a game that sees players fight on a battlefield with a varity of weapons. The setting is currently unknown.
HTC also launched the Vive X fund, which will see the company invest some $100 million (about RM400 million) in accelerating the development of productivity apps and tools for the Vive.
The Computex showcase will also include several other games for the HTC Vive – among other things from HTC. These are mainly games from smaller developers and lack the punch of triple A titles. However, the Vive has no lack of games thanks to its ability to take advantage of Steam’s library of games.
