Samsung has announced a new 500GB storage variant of its 750 EVO SSD lineup. With the addition, consumers are now able to choose from a storage capacity of 120GB, 250GB, and 500GB. In addition to announcing the new storage capacity for its SSD, Samsung has also mentioned that it will be looking into making the 750 EVO SSDs available to more counties soon.

Samsung’s 750 EVO SSDs are famous for the features they come with. Namely the TurboWrite technology, Dynamic Thermal Guard protection, and RAPID mode – all of which allows for a faster and more efficient read and write speeds. Speaking of which, according to Samsung, it’s 750 EVO SSDs are capable of delivering a sequential read and write speeds of 520MBps up to 540MBps – thanks to the MGX Controller.

In addition to that, the 750 EVO SSD also comes with security features such as an AES 256-bit self-encrypting technology; which should prevent any unwanted access to one’s “important” files. That aside, as with any other 750 EVO SSDs, the 500GB variant will also ship with a three-year warranty or 100 terabytes written – whichever comes first.

The suggested retail price of the new 500GB variant of Samsung’s 500GB 750 EVO SSD is US$149.99 (about RM612).
