It was only yesterday when we learnt what could be under the hood of the OnePlus 3, and it appears we may have the final specifications of the upcoming flagship smartphone already. Thanks to the OnePlus 3’s TENAA certification, most of its key hardware were detailed.
As previous leaks and rumours have suggested, it is very likely that the OnePlus 3 will be powered by the highly capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor; the TENAA certification simply describes it as a 2.15GHz quad-core processor. Other than that, the listing also revealed that the OnePlus 3 will be packed with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, as well as a modest 3,000mAh battery.
Unfortunately, the OnePlus 3 does not seem to support microSD card expansion; at least, that’s what the device’s TENAA listing is suggesting. This doesn’t really come as a surprise: its previous two predecessors – the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One – both did not feature expandable storage, although the OnePlus X doesn’t follow this convention.
Memory expansion aside, other specifications of the OnePlus 3 include a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing shooter, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Judging by images of the OnePlus 3 detailed on its TENAA page, the device appears to have a full metal body and a slight camera bump, which may not appeal to certain consumers.
While the specifications of the OnePlus 3 detailed here did not come from the company itself, the TENAA certification of any given device is usually very accurate; after all, it is China’s certification body. As for release date, it is widely believed that the OnePlus 3 will be officially unveiled on 14 June next month.
