The Huawei TalkBand B3 was officially announced just last month, and it appears to be arriving in Malaysia very soon. If you’re in the market for a smartwatch or a fitness tracker, it may be worth it to wait for Huawei’s latest hybrid wearable.
Naturally, we found out that Huawei Malaysia is planning to bring in the Talkband B3 to our shores through a little searching in SIRIM’s database. Registered under the model number “GMN-BX9,” this listing confirmed that it is indeed the TalkBand B3.
As the successor to the TalkBand B2, Huawei’s third iteration of its hybrid wearable boasts a new, sleeker-looking design. Aside from that, the TalkBand B3 mostly functions like its predecessor: the “core” of the wearable can be taken out to act as a Bluetooth headset. It also has a 0.7-inch 128 x 80 PMOLED display along with a 91mAh battery that can supposedly provide up to four days of typical usage.
Other features of the TalkBand B3 include the ability to automatically detect what kind of physical activity its user is currently undergoing, sleep quality monitoring, and of course, as is the case with most wearables, the TalkBand B3 can display notifications from the device it is connected to – this wearable is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
Although the Huawei TalkBand B3 has been certified with SIRIM, we don’t know when – or if – it will be launched here. That said, Huawei Malaysia does launch most of its products on our shores, so the TalkBand B3 will most probably be made available here soon.
