G.Skill, a name unanimously known throughout the PC industry for manufacturing ultra-fast and reliable memory modules has announced its newest addition to the Trident Z series. The new addition features a 16GB (2 x 8GB) RAM kit that boast an eye watering frequency of 4266MHz.
Alongside the 4266MHz RAM kit, G.Skill has also announced new 8GB and 16GB memory modules that are capable of frequencies of 3200MHz and 3466MHz respectively. According to G.Skill, its newest memory modules supports XMP 2.0 profiles for Intel’s newest processors as well as the Z170 chipset platform.
Interestingly, G.Skill went on further to mention that the specific motherboards used to all three memory modules are the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Impact (4266MHz kit) and ASUS Z170-Deluxe (3200MHz and 3466MHz kits). That aside, the CL (CAS latency) timing for the 3200MHz is 13-13-13-33, while the 3466MHz kit has a CL timing of 14-14-14-34. The CL latency for the 4266MHz is rather impressive at 19-23-23-43.
Availability for G.Skill’s newest memory module is expected to be sometime in June. Prior to release, all three RAM kits will be showcased during Computex 2016. Unfortunately, price was not mentioned, but for the right price, G.Skill’s newest Trident Z additions could be one very attractive product to consider for gamers as well as PC enthusiasts.
