Blizzard has partnered with Golden Screen Cinemas for the upcoming Warcraft movie. Fans can get a free digital copy of World of Warcraft – along with 30 days worth of game time – when they buy tickets at participating GSC outlets from 8 June onwards.
Warcraft is a feature length adaptation of the video game story, which sees the Orcs flee their dying home of Draenor and reaching Azeroth. Naturally, the humans are not too happy with huge brutes suddenly setting up home in their backyard; which should lead to some extra cinematic re-enactment of the video game.
This movie is Activision Blizzard’s first step into expanding the scope of their IP to include movies, which also includes plans for a Call of Duty movie at some point. Blizzard has been known to writing reasonably compelling stories for its games and creating memorable characters, which is why fans are willing to give Warcraft (the movie) a chance to impress.
