Mechanical keyboards are loved by many for their tactile – and sometimes clicky – keys. Perhaps motivated to bring the same experience to other range of products, Ducky has introduced the Ducky Pocket, which is essentially a calculator with…Cherry MX RGB switches. If your interest is piqued, good news: it may be brought into Malaysia, based on this Facebook post.
At first glance, the Ducky Pocket looks a lot like a calculator with RGB lighting and a backlit LCD screen. However, upon closer inspection, it is actually a numpad with an LCD display; this effectively means it will function both as a numpad and a calculator, although the Taiwanese company did not clarify if the Ducky Pocket has a built-in battery.
Naturally, the Ducky Pocket connects to a computer via a micro USB cable. According to Ducky, this fancy-looking numpad is ideal for power users; the keys can be customised to users’ needs. Unfortunately, it wasn’t mentioned what kind of Cherry MX RGB switches the Ducky Pocket will ship with.
Ducky may not be a household name like Razer, but it is one of the most prominent PC peripheral – especially mechanical keyboards – manufacturers in the market. It certainly is interesting to see such products being introduced, and the Ducky Pocket will be showcased at the upcoming Computex 2016. However, the question is: would you fancy a calculator with mechanical switches?
