It seems that manufacturers are now starting to unveil their motherboards aimed at Intel’s next generation Broadwell-E processor. Chief amongst them is EVGA, who has introduced its latest motherboard called the X99 FTW K, specifically made for hardcore gamers and overclockers.
When looking at the specifications of EVGA’s X99 FTW K motherboard, one can see that the motherboard is equipped with Intel’s X99 chipset, which will enable support for processors using the LGA 2011-v3 socket. In addition, the motherboard is also fitted with ten SATA 6.0Gbps ports as well.
When it comes to memory slots, the EVGA X99 FTW K motherboard comes with eight DDR4 (3200MHz) RAM slots that are capable of supporting up to 128GB of memory, all thanks to the 4-layer memory T-rounting design. Besides that, the motherboard also supports M.2 drives with speeds of up to 32Gbps.
Interestingly, the EVGA X99 FTW K comes with an onboard CPU temperature monitor, which will definitely be appreciated by hardcore overclockers. I/O ports include: four USB2.0 and USB 3.0 ports; one USB 3.1 Type-C and Type-A ports; two Gigabyte LAN ports; and an 8-channel Audio+Optical port as well.
Unfortunately, EVGA has not mentioned the price and availability of its X99 FTW K motherboard. Consumers should expect the launch dates to be announced during Computex 2016, which will be taking place in less than three weeks. More information regarding EVGA’s latest motherboard can be found here.
