While there is still more than a week to go before ASUS kicks off its Computex 2016‘s briefing, the Taiwanese company somehow has offered a quick look for one of the products that is expected to be announced at the event – the ZenFone 3. This was done through a teaser video that was went online yesterday.
Based on what we have seen, the video has pretty generally confirmed the authenticity of ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe’s product images that were accidentally leaked out last month. Among design elements of ZenFone 3 that were also clearly shown in the video are the rear volume rocker which first appeared on ZenFone 2 and the protruding square-shaped camera module and metal exteriors.
Judging from the video, consumers can now expect to see three different sizes of ZenFone 3 at the launch event on 30 May at Computex 2016. While we already aware of the existence of ZenFone 3 and ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ASUS didn’t provide any identification to the phones shown in the video.
According to last month’s leaked information, the new ZenFone 3 will feature glass front and back alongside curved aluminum frame. It apparently will also feature USB Type-C together with front-facing flash, laser auto-focus system, and fingerprint sensor.
At the same time, ZenFone 3 Deluxe is said to be the first of its kind in the world as ASUS designers and engineers apparently have found a way to build a full metal smartphone without compromising antenna signal. Expect to see more information regarding the new ZenFone 3 series will be made available on 30 May, so stay tuned.
