There are many entry-level smartphones from various manufacturers, and Lenovo’s latest offering may pique the interest of budget-conscious consumers. While the Lenovo Vibe C may not impress in the hardware department, its price tag certainly does.
Naturally, as an entry-level smartphone, the Vibe C isn’t particularly well-equipped. It features a 5-inch 720p IPS display, an unspecified quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, only 8GB of internal storage (thankfully, it’s expandable with a microSD card up to 32GB), a modest 2,300mAh battery, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Interestingly, although the Vibe C is meant to be a low-cost smartphone, it has LTE connectivity, which is always a good feature to have. Rounding out the specifications of this affordable smartphone are a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing shooter, and of course, a plastic construction to keep the cost down.
At the time of this writing, the Lenovo Vibe C is only available for purchase in Croatia. Retailing at a mere 698 Croatian kuna (about RM420), the Vibe C is definitely a great smartphone for those on a tight-budget, even though its specifications aren’t that great. The Vibe C is set to ship on 18 May; hopefully, this entry-level device will make its way to Malaysia in the near future.
