Zotac has teased its upcoming custom variant of Nvidia’s recently announced GTX 1080 graphics card. Dubbed the GTX 1080 PGF, Zotac’s newest graphics card will be the first product under its newly introduced Prime Gamer Force or PGF series.
In its GTX 1080 PGF tease, Zotac has displayed two identical custom GTX 1080’s side-by-side, but with one stark difference: the colour of the illuminated backplate. Thats right, Zotac has decided to equip the backplate of its upcoming graphics card with RGB lighting. If owning a ridiculously expensive gaming rig with premium components wasn’t striking enough, then buying a graphics card with an RGB-lit backplate is the way to go.
That aside, along with the GTX 1080 PGF tease, Zotac has also showcased a screenshot of the graphics card running on the Firestorm utility software. Immediately, one striking feature that is shown in the screenshot would be the GPU memory clock – recorded at a tear-jerking 5650MHz, this translates to an effective clock speed of about 11.3GHz and bandwidths of approximately 361GBps.
Unfortunately, as teases go, there isn’t much information. That said, price-wise, the Zotac GTX 1080 PGF is expected to retail slightly cheaper compared to Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Founders Edition which will retail for a price of US$699 (about RM2,815).
