Acer has unveiled a slew of new products in New York this morning. Also announced at the event is a new gaming monitor series in the Predator lineup, the Predator Z1. Not only do these monitors have a curved display, they also support Nvidia’s G-Sync technology.
There are three sizes in the Predator Z1 lineup: 27-inch, 30-inch and 31.5-inch. While all of these monitors feature a 1800R curvature, the 30-inch Predator Z1 is actually a 21:9 monitor, which is ideal for gamers who want a more immersive experience. That said, the 30-inch model only has a resolution of 2560 x 1080. While this may not be sharp enough for certain gamers, the 30-inch Predator Z1 does boast a grey-to-grey response time of 4ms.
Other specifications of the 30-inch Predator Z1 include a 100% sRGB colour gamut, a stand that provides tilt and height adjustments (it can also swivel to change between portrait and landscape mode), and a whopping 200Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, Acer did not provide any information on the other two Predator Z1 monitors.
According to Acer, the Predator Z1 lineup of gaming monitors will retail from US$600 (about RM2,340) in North America, 4,999 Chinese yuan in China (approximately RM3,010) and 599 euro (around RM2,640) in Europe. Naturally, the retail prices and availability of the Z1 gaming monitors in Malaysia have not been announced yet.
