Huawei’s sub-brand honor has just released a teaser for its upcoming honor V8. Just like the recently launched Huawei P9, the honor V8 may sport a dual-camera setup. The dual-camera feature is no stranger to honor as the company did a similar setup on the 2014 honor 6 Plus.
Likely to be the successor to the company’s honor 7 phone, the honor V8 looks to continue the family’s legacy. Rumoured specifications suggest that the V8 will feature the same dual 12MP sensors similar to those seen on the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus. However, it might come without the Leica lenses.
Specification wise, aside from the dual-camera setup, it may also allegedly feature the company’s new Kirin 950 octa-core processor rather than the Kirin 955 chipset that is found on the Huawei P9. Under the hood, the V8 is said to be mated with 4GB of RAM and there may be a fingerprint sensor with payment authentication capabilities.
The honor V8 is set to launch on the 10th of May in a press event in Beijing. As we get closer to the launch date, more official news may appear.
