We’ve previously reported on some of the leaks regarding HTC’s next device, the HTC One X9. The leak seemed too good to be true, and now all has become clear as the HTC One X9 has finally made its debut just before the start of 2016.
The HTC One X9 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, and comes installed with the company’s signature front-facing Boomsound speakers. The smartphone runs on a MediaTek Helio X10 coupled with 3GB of RAM, and has 32GB of internal storage. Should the user need additional storage space, the device has support for expansion via microSD.
On the back of the HTC One X9 is where the 13MP camera is located, while the front sports a 5MP shooter for selfies. Connectivity wise, the HTC One X supports dual-SIM standby, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, and Bluetooth 4.1. Powering the device is a non-removable 3,000mAh battery, and it runs on the latest version of Android – 6.0 Marshmallow.
HTC’s One X9 smartphone might be the long awaited successor to the original HTC One X. However, we’re glad the company decided to take some design cues from the Butterfly series and include Boomsound speakers.
The HTC One X9 is currently only available in China, and is being sold for 2,399 Yuan (about RM1,600). We’re not sure if the device will ever make its way to Malaysian shores, but the HTC One A9 is likely to be arriving first before the latter.
