Only a month after Xiaomi released its Redmi Note 2 in Malaysia, Maxis has picked up the device and made it available on its online store. The device can be bought for RM99, depending on which MaxisONE plan the user subscribes to.
Users can get the Redmi Note 2 by subscribing to any one of the MaxisONE plan. For the MaxisONE 98 plan, it has a monthly commitment fee of RM98, unlimited calls and SMS to all networks. The plan comes with 1GB of 4G LTE and the device price will cost RM299. Not only that, a device advance payment of RM392 is also applicable.
As for MaxisONE plans 128, 158, and 188, calls and SMS are also unlimited to all networks, and it comes with 3GB, 5GB, and 8GB of mobile data quota respectively. The device price will also be further reduced to RM99. Do note that these plans come with a 24-month contract, and a device advance payment fee of RM512 is required.
To recap, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is a 5.5-inch smartphone with a full HD display and runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. In the camera department, there’s a 5MP shooter on the front with a 13MP snapper on the back. Rounding out the device’s specification is 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 3,060mAh removable battery, and dual-SIM 4G LTE support.
