MTV has worked with MusicQubed to bring a new app to the music streaming industry. Called “MTV Trax”, the app focuses on smartphone users and is available on Digi’s Music Freedom app. What’s even more interesting is that the app’s playlist will be refreshed daily, and music will be downloaded automatically to constantly keep its listeners updated.
MTV Trax users can try out the ‘Premium’ features for two weeks for free by signing up using their Facebook or Gmail account. After the trial period ends, users can continue using premium features by paying a monthly subscription fee of US$2.99 (about RM13) on iOS, and US$1.70 (roughly RM7) on Android and Windows. On the other hand, Lite users only get to listen to 60 tracks a month on shuffle play for free.
Anyone can download the app and use it for free. However, with MTV Trax being supported by Digi’s Music Freedom app, Digi customers can use MTV Trax by purchasing a Music Freedom pass at RM3 a month. This way, users need not worry about their mobile data quota being used up.
